Merriam Crater (also known as Merriam Mountain) is one of the most easterly lying cinder cones in the San Francisco Volcanic Field located around the Flagstaff region. The depression itself is filled with trees, shrubs, and small critters, while the approach is more wide open and rocky. Enjoy this rim-view of one of the largest cinder cones in the state.
