Schevenhütter Straße Descent to Düren

Dear cycling community, your prayers have been answered, the Schevenhütter Straße will be closed and renewed from today (07/08/21)!

A great route and always beautiful, especially since the asphalt surface is new.

Addition April 11, 2022:
The asphalt is great now, so the conditions are much better. From now on a clear recommendation from me.

The surface is unfortunately very bad, so this section is actually only recommended uphill. On the descent, there is a high risk of taking one of the many potholes with you, especially since passing drivers often don't leave much room to dodge. The section is not low-traffic either, as it serves motorized traffic as a shortcut between the Stolberg and Düren areas. So you should always expect fast vehicles from both directions. So there is no recommendation from me.
