The Parish of the Asunción de Nuestra Señora, built at the beginning of the 17th century, although it was enlarged at various times to its current configuration, has a plan in the shape of a Latin cross, with its dome and lateral naves, being its masonry factory, in some plastered areas and other views, except for the west side where the tower and main doorway are located, which is mostly made of ashlars.
It is located on the same site where the first church that Tomelloso had had had been, which was built in 1541 and demolished practically in its entirety in 1604, leaving only a chapel to the part of the Epistle of which can still be seen its late Gothic vault.
