You are at the back of the Peñarroya reservoir dam, for hydroelectric and supply use located in the municipal area of the town of Argamasilla de Alba, next to the Peñarroya Castle which you can see on the left. The reservoir was inaugurated in 1959, although the first projects date back to 1917.
