The easily accessible Red Spring Picnic area is next to the parking lot and pit toilet facilities. There are many covered picnic tables with barbecue grills and trash cans. There is also a large group picnic site that you can reserve for events. It is a great place to eat a snack before or after your hike around Calico Basin.
