In it is the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, occupies one of the flanks of the Plaza Mayor of the town. In plan it has two Herrerian-influenced naves: the main one and San Lorenzo, which is shorter, and a Mannerist chapel on the gospel side.
In the main nave is the altarpiece, a copy of the one from 1553, destroyed in the Civil War, of which six panels have been preserved that correspond to a pre-Mannerist style prior to Correa de Vivar, which some hypotheses attribute to the Hernando Yánez School ( disciple of Raphael). At the end of this nave, the choir on a pointed arch.
In the nave of San Lorenzo, a work by Gregorio Prieto with the figure of the patron saint, the Virgin of Consolation.

This is one of the most beautiful squares in Castilla la Mancha. Part of the building is painted white and blue as a symbol of La Mancha. The square was built between the 18th and 19th centuries. The largest building in the square is the Church of the Assumption. It's a good place to meet friends or stop and have a drink.
