In 1963, it was forced to increase the tower by almost 10 m, as the beech stand was grown all around, that no round view was possible. In 1969, the basic base finally got a reinforced concrete shell, which is to carry the building in the next millennium.Since the existence of the lookout tower in 1886, there was also a small forest restaurant. The Waldgasthof am Iberger Albertturm offers, besides its resin-refreshing, rustic cosiness, a unique attraction: snowball fight in summer and the natural snow from last winter. The snow is stored in holes that are caused by leaching of lime from winter.
