Super starting point for runs of all kinds. Various paths run flat through the Leitzachtal. If you are looking for mountain runs, you can run in the direction of the Schlierseer mountains (e.g. to the Heissenplatte) or to the Wendelstein. Geitau itself also offers a lot, e.g. the lonely chapel, whose poor wooden exterior is deceptive (treffpunkt-bayrischzell.de/tourismus/heimatkundlicher-spaziergang-geitau/die-kapelle-geitau/) or the sublime inn "Red Wall" with mountain scenery in the background.
