Scottish Highlanders have been deployed in the area to graze the site.
This is to prevent the wet dune valleys from quickly closing up again.
They also trample the subsoil with their hooves, giving vulnerable plants a chance to grow between the reeds and the willows.
Even though they seem cuddly and are rarely aggressive: keep your distance and don't pet them!
