To this day, the city has preserved large fragments of walls (2.5 kilometers), two city gates and two towers. The first gate, the Mühlentor, was built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries and still serves its purpose. In the second, Prenzlauer Tor, there is now city information and a small museum. The two towers are the Pulverturm (Powder Tower) and Kiek in de Mark (Look into the March - from the need to be vigilant against possible Brandenburg invasions).

Cycling

With a few exceptions, the city wall runs around the city, interrupted by the Prenzlauer Tor, Kiek in de Mark, and the Powder Tower. It has been renovated repeatedly since the mid-90s.
