"A short stretch of linden and chestnut avenue […] frames the view of Folly Castle.
"The Park or Home Farm lies on the edge of the northern park, approximately 200 meters east of the walled garden, and is an unchanged remnant of a late 18th century model farm designed by Sir John Soane for the third Lord Hardwicke."

    But now it's really out.
    Off to the trees!
For me personally, it's not just the English parks that have a special appeal:
The trees, these sometimes incredibly old, beautiful, individual and huge solitary trees, which stand and watch over nature like kind-hearted nobles.
We soon come across a mighty tree (?), whose large branch that grew to the east has taken root again on the ground and is branching out from there towards the sky.
Several times we come across very old yew trees that span several meters in many facets.
To our great surprise, some impressively large olive trees thrive in these latitudes.
Several colossal oak trees stand beautifully across the park, in distant proximity to some delicate white paper birch trees that grow in color contrast to two gigantic redwood sequoia trees.
We climb over the extensive pasture slopes past curiously grown, ancient pastures to the western ridges of the park. The visual axis of the linden avenue leads the eye over to the picturesque Folly in the northern part.
