A Martins church is mentioned for the first time in 807/8 AD. The old sugar loaf bell indicates an early church. The neat little church was rebuilt in the 18th century. The Wessobrunn stucco, the altars, the ceiling paintings, the choir room with the windows - everything was coordinated and still seems very successful today.

Hiking

The Catholic parish church of St. Martin is in Obereglfing. A St. Martin's church is mentioned in the Eglfinger Heimat- und Volksbuch as early as around 807/808. Since Eglfing was a closed Hofmark, it could have been a church owned by von Egolvingen. Today's church comes from the late Gothic period and was baroqueized in the 18th century.
