The Berlinchen village church was built between 1852 and 1854. INTERESTING FACT: In 1922, three new steel bells from a foundry in Apolda were consecrated. The church's two original bells (69 and 81 centimeters in diameter) both bore the inscription: "Cast for the church in Berlinchen 1830." The larger bell, which was delivered, weighed 276 kilograms and fetched 696 marks. The remaining bronze bell (69 centimeters in diameter) was sold for 50,000 marks.
