very nice seaside resort, good geignet for a break in the restaurant, a walk on the pier and for the woman a stroll through the shops

The bike tour from Binz to Sassnitz is recommended. The route goes via Neu Mukran and Prora to Sassnitz and consists mainly of tarred bike paths. Exceptions are short, bumpy stretches in Neu Mukran in front of the Peters bakery to the bridge and in Prora after the youth hostel, where cyclists are guided over bumpy concrete tracks from the 1940s. There are numerous places to stop along the way.
In Neu Mukran there is Café Peters and in Prora there are several cafes, pizza places and bistros.
In Sassnitz you can get delicious fried fish sandwiches in the town harbor from the fishing boats moored there. The local seagulls know this too and many a tourist falls victim to the birds' feeding attacks.
If you have time, you can then park your bike and walk on the gravel along the coast, under the chalk cliffs, along the Baltic Sea.
With a bit of luck, you can find chicken gods, thunderstones or a fossilized sea urchin that is over 60 million years old.
