In the middle of a bay of nine kilometers of fine and pleasant sand, the beach of La Baule is a must for French seaside tourism. Don't be surprised to come across walkers in heavy shoes: the beach concludes the great GR 3 hiking route which runs for 1,300 kilometers from the source of the Loire, at Mont Gerbier de Jonc in the Massif Central.
