Apennine pass of secondary importance but much loved by those who pedal, the Cirone connects the provinces of Parma and Massa-Carrara. It is attacked from Bosco di Corniglio on the north side and from Molinello (shortly after Pontremoli) on the south side.

The climb from the Tuscan side is splendid, without traffic and with few exposed sections, for the most part you pedal protected by the woods (there is also a point to refuel a few kilometers from the summit). The slopes are never excessive even if towards the end it becomes more grim.
The Parma side, while still remaining very beautiful, is irregular and with challenging peaks. No refueling point
