This cemetery was inaugurated by King Albert I in 1923 and contains the graves of 491 Belgian soldiers and 32 French soldiers who died during the war. Most of them were killed near Fort Marchovelette, which was blown up on August 23, 1914. You will find a solemn and peaceful atmosphere in this cemetery, as well as a commemorative plaque and a cross of honor.

Monument of Remembrance
A memorial has been erected in memory of the fallen soldiers in the region. At its top, a kneeling woman who represents the homeland leans over two soldiers: one is Belgian and armed with a rifle and the other is French and armed with a sword. On either side of the pedestal, there are two coats of arms carved from the stone representing the Belgian lion on the left and the French rooster on the right.
