Road cycling
St. Martin's Cathedral stands directly on the market square. Built in 975, it has experienced many fires, destruction, and reconstructions over the centuries. In addition to the archbishops' tombstones, the Romanesque St. Gotthard Chapel and the late Gothic cloister are particularly noteworthy. The chapter buildings and the cloister now house the Cathedral and Diocesan Museum, featuring works of art from two millennia of Mainz's history. 🚴♂️
