This triumphal arch, which commemorates the victory, in the battle of the University City, of the rebel side against the Republic in the Civil War, was built in the 1950s and is located at one of the main entrances to Madrid, in the Moncloa-Aravaca district.
The design of this monument was entrusted to the architects Modesto López Otero and Pascual Bravo Sanfeliú, who built a 40-meter-high arch, which rests on two rectangular bases.
