The Odivelas Dam is located in the Lower Alentejo region, in the municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo, near the town of Odivelas. Built on the bed of the Odivelas Stream, this dam began operating in 1972. The water stored here is used primarily for irrigation.
Nearby is the Albergaria dos Fusos Reservoir, upstream on the Odivelas Stream.
