Rock climbing
The walls are made of shell limestone, allowing climbing on natural rock in the heart of Cologne. The climbing area has been operated by the Cologne Alpine Club (Kölner Alpenverein) with permission from the City of Cologne since 1998.
The Hohenzollern Bridge is the only freely accessible climbing area on a historical monument in Germany.
