Forget Island is a classic for mountain biking or gravel cycling with the family just a few minutes from downtown Nantes. You can go all the way around it and continue with the nearby Pinette Island. There is also a small cross-country circuit there. It is a former meadow that was used as pasture and is now more of a place for leisure (even if you can still find donkeys, cows and sheep there). The island is separated from the mainland by the Boireau, an arm of the Loire that is more or less in water depending on the tides and seasons.
