Rome is an official trail town along the Oregon Desert Trail. Don't expect too much as there is just a small shop with a café and a motel. However, the shop has some nice snacks for your hiker hunger, and might have gas cans. If possible, try to speak to the owners and send a resupply package. Otherwise, you can still try to hitch into the town of Jordan which has a larger store and a gas station.
