The present temple (...) in the neo-gothic style was built in the years 1882-1886 in place of the old wooden church. (...)

During the First and Second World War, the front line passed through Bukowsko, but the temple itself survived. It was not until 1946 that the UPA bands burned down the whole of Bukowsko, only the church and a few houses survived. After the burning, some of the inhabitants returned and some left to the west.

(...) The interior polychrome made in tempera by the painter Leonard Winturowski from Krakow comes from 1911 and was renovated in 1982-1983 by Kazimierz Florek from Sanok.

On the so-called On the rainbow under the vault there is a large painting of the Queen of the Polish Crown receiving homage from Polish saints and representatives of Polish society.

Above the main entrance, on the outer pediment, there is a statue of Our Lady made of cast iron, imported in 1903 from Paris.
