Lovingly designed place. A comfortable bench and a very nice signpost provide the hiker with information. 558 m (NN). If it's not foggy, you can see Monte Kali near Heringen from here.
Several salt heaps in Germany, which mainly consist of rock salt, are colloquially referred to as Monte Kali, Kaliberg or Kalimanjaro. They represent an ecological problem because salts and heavy metals are washed out by precipitation and pollute the soil, groundwater and surface water in the area.
