Beautifully landscaped park with your beautiful fountain (Solbrunnen)

The Solbrunnen is a state-recognized spa in Bad Soden am Taunus in the Main-Taunus-Kreis and forms the core of the Quellenpark.

The first mention of the fountain goes to the year 1567. The brine source was then tested by the Frankfurt Municipal Authority. Then the water was passed on to the salt works graduation tower, where salt was obtained. From 1854 the spring was used as a spa and drinking fountain. In 1856 the source was recaptured and it was directed to the present location. In 1862, a small pavilion was built in the immediate vicinity. Here, under medical prescription goat whey was mixed with the water, which had a laxative effect.

The Sodenia Pavilion was erected in 1888 along with the Sodenia statue. The statue was made by Soden sculptor Adam Henrich (1854-1909). The Sodenia statue is one of the city's landmarks. The Solbrunnen is a fluoride and carbonated sodium chloride thermal bath.

The Quellenpark is located in the old town of Bad Soden. It was created in 1872 after the city acquired the necessary land. The heart of the park is the Solbrunnen, which was formerly used for salt production. Today it is in use as a spa and drinking fountain. The statue Sodenia is today a landmark of the city of Bad Soden. Through the Quellenpark flows the Sulzbach. Directly at the park is the "Haus Bockenheimer". This building was the first bathhouse in the city. It was renamed "Frankfurter Hof" in 1813. On the other side is the sour well.
