I don't think it looks bleak in the Harz Mountains. On the contrary - the Harz is more colorful than ever. All of a sudden there are many beautiful flowers on all the free "bark beetle areas". Shrubs now also have a chance and trees can also be seen growing again. The Harz is still alive, you just have to look closely and see the positive :)
