As an alternative to the busy main road or the somewhat unsightly cycle path along the motorway, we recommend the route through the Riburg industrial park, which soon leads through a nature reserve to the Möhlinerhöhe (mountain between Möhlin and Wallbach). Once at the top, the path leads through fields past a farm. The path is well paved, has very little traffic and is therefore definitely worth the few meters more.

Road cycling

This is one of the one of the quickest routes between Wallbach and Möhlin/Rheinfelden. From Wallbach one does a short, easy climb to reach a plateau which offers a good view of the Rhine Valley and the southern most point of the Black Forest. A nice smooth asphalted surface makes for a nice ride with almost zero traffic until one arrives in Möhlin. In Möhlin the cycleway passes through a large distribution center so there is a lot of semi-truck traffic on weekdays.
