The monastery and the church, run by the Capuchin Fathers, were built just outside the city walls in the first decade of the 17th century, thanks to the generosity of the nobleman Domenico Paderi from Oristano. The church building has a single nave with a gabled roof and a number of side chapels. The view appears absolutely simple with a modest bezel overhanging the portal and an octagonal oculus. The church preserves a silver chalice from 1609 and a painting from 1626 depicting the Franciscan family tree and depicting Saint Francis at the foot of a majestic oak tree.
