From this point you have a nice view over the heath. Often there are also sheep walking around. There is a bench where you can settle down with a sandwich.

This is a quiet area. Be careful because some paths are no longer there

The area measures 180 ha, of which 100 ha is owned by Staatsbosbeheer, 60 ha by the municipality of Breda and 20 ha by Defense. The last part is occasionally used as a training area.
The area contained an agricultural enclave of 65 hectares that was leased by Staatsbosbeheer until 2008. In 2010, this area was returned to nature, whereby the nutrient-rich top layer was removed and the water management was adjusted, resulting in the creation of a fen again.
The area consists of heathland, partly planted with Scots pine.
In the south the area connects to the Galderse Meren, and in the north to the Mastbos. To the east of the Galderse Heide lies the river valley of the Mark.
