Cycling

It's also a great transit route on mountain bike tours. When there's a snowstorm, you can sometimes even overtake trains here. The northern part is riddled with potholes and is wet in the "rainy season," but is never really muddy thanks to the compacted gravel. (The holes are also filled in regularly. But it never lasts long because there's a lot of "sailor traffic.")
