It is a rather demanding route and recommended for mtb. spectacular views overlooking the sea. in a short stretch the ancient cobblestone is still visible.

Suggested starting points either from chia next to the beach of "Torre chia" or from the beach of Pinus Village.

Bithia, once immortalized by great scholars such as Pliny the Elder and Claudius Ptolemy, stood proudly on the southern coast of Sardinia, where the waves of the sea now crash against the remains of this once mighty Phoenician city. The city was located at the mouth of the Riu di Chia for more than a millennium until it met its silent end in the 5th century. However, its heritage remains hidden in the shadows of the medieval defensive tower, Torre di Chia, extends to the picturesque Spiaggia della Colonia beach and finds its place on the small island of Su Cardolinu.

There are two ideal starting points for this remarkable route: the beach of Torre Chia, a place that captivates for its proximity to history, and the beach of Pinus Village, which embodies the natural charm of Sardinia.

Once you set off, you will quickly realize that this route is not for the weak. The path that unfolds before you is particularly recommended for MTBs as it winds through challenging terrain. But every effort is rewarded. There is no shortage of highlights: the shimmering sea that spreads spectacularly beneath you will certainly take your breath away more than once.

And then there's that special spot where the old cobblestones appear beneath your wheels. A fleeting moment that at the same time makes the presence of those times felt when Romans and Phoenicians set foot on these paths
