Heritage Village is about 20 minutes drive from the port, close to the pier. In the village, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the traditional way of life of the Bedouins. The settlement history of the Bedouins goes back far beyond the first discovery of oil. In the replica of a traditional oasis village you can admire a tent made of goat hair and a falaj irrigation system, among other things. The skills of different craftsmen are brought closer to you in various workshops. You can learn more about the work of a metalsmith, potter or weaver. In some cases there is even the opportunity to practice the traditional craft yourself. The Heritage Village is open from Saturday to Thursday from 09:00 to 17:00 and on Friday from 15:30 to 21:00. During Ramadan, the village closes at 2 p.m.

At Heritage Village Abu Dhabi, visitors get a glimpse into Emirati life before the oil boom. The reconstructed museum village is located right next to Breakwater Beach on the island opposite the Corniche. Surrounded by palm trees, Bedouin tents and clay buildings, the history, everyday life and (art) crafts of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are traced in the Heritage Village. As you stroll through the complex, you will notice the souk, the mosque and the traditional desert camp, which take visitors on a journey through time through classical Arabia. Public workshops demonstrate the skills of metalworking, pottery, weaving, spinning and glassblowing. Jewelry, clothing, spices, cosmetics and other souvenirs await guests in the souk.
