The summit of Table Rock is the highest point of the 3.5-mile (5.6 km) Table Rock Summit Trail, peaking at 3,152 feet (952 m). The summit itself does not offer any views - you have to walk a couple of hundred yards further to the viewpoint. The trail is moderately strenuous, rising 2,000 feet (610 m) above the trailhead at the Nature Center. The hike ascends steeply through an open forest strewn with boulders. Along the way, you will see vegetation typical of the Southern Appalachians: dominant oak and hickory trees with scattered pines and hemlock.
