Hiking

An old wooden slide, a so-called "giant", can still be seen at the edge of the path. To transport tree trunks or wood down through the Lohmühlebach valley, long troughs were built in which the trunks were transported down from the forest. Like the entire landscape in the very wet Lohmühlebachtal, this ditch-like slide is overgrown with green, but is still clearly visible. Further down, where the Lohmühlebach had enough water, the wood was then floated. Nearby, an information board describes the "giants and rafts" very well.
