The church is first mentioned in 1234. The three western bays of the nave of ashlar were built around 1240. In 1822/23 the nave was extended by two bays, and the apse was lost. The square steeple to the west, destroyed by lightning in 1764, has been restored in Baroque forms using the old ashlars. He received a six-sided pointed helmet. A church bell cast by Friedrich Dreyer hangs in the tower. The nave, covered with a gabled roof and hipped to the east, has arched windows on three sides.
