The climbing rock on the ascent to the Himmelsleiter, via which you can reach the summit plateau of the Neuen Wildenstein, is called Midwife. The cave certainly served a purpose in the Middle Ages, but the name historical childbed probably comes from a joke and dallerei from the climbing guild in relation to the midwife climbing rock. But quite useful as a very protected sleeping boat.
