As you pass Kilfinnan the Great Glen trail ascends a few meters and you have some picturesque views before entering South Laggan Forest. The Burial ground beside the farm is where many were laid to rest after being carried over the side of the mountain, Ben Tee, along the old coffin roads there.

The Great Glen Way on the northern shore of Loch Lochy between Clunes and Kilfinnan lies mostly in coniferous forest with the loch sadly out of view. However, during the descent to Kilfinnan there is a delightful change to open scenery (as shown in the pictures) including views of Kilfinnan Burn and of Laggan Locks in the distance. Kilfinnan is also the site of an ancient burial ground for the chiefs of the MacDonells of Glengarry and is also linked to the Jacobite Rising of 1745.
