Slanted opposite the old Beacon Building "Mist Signal
Gollwitz "is the" new ", but unfortunately only a very high (but not so nice) steel framework.
The Gollwitz lighthouse itself was in operation for 40 years. Today, the tower still serves fog signal.
☝️ Slanted with respect to. loads a bench under a tree for a rest on the beach - a small wooden staircase to the water is also available!

It served as the leading light from 1956 to 1996. In 1996 a major overhaul was carried out.
Due to the local conditions, the Gollwitz-W beacon was erected separately on a 23.4 m high white steel lattice mast a little to the west of the location of the lighthouse when the building was overhauled in 1996. The new location has avoided the impact of trees on the sectors. A belt lens was used as the light source. With the generated light intensity, a range of 7.7 to 6.1 nm is achieved at sigma 0.4 for the white, red and green sectors. An identifier Ubr = 5 seconds (Oc.5s) is shown. The existing Gollwitz-N leading light was replaced by a precision sector light fitted with 220 V / 150 W halogen lamps. With the operating light intensity generated, a range of 8.1 to 6.5 nm is achieved for the narrow white, red and green sectors. A Glt identification with 4 seconds (Iso.4s) is shown.
