Albert Park was opened by Prince Arthur of Connaught on 11th August 1868. It was created to provide a nice green space for the ever-expanding city of Middlesbrough.
It's a very pretty and well-manicured park with lots of facilities, a cafe, visitor centre and a museum.
There is a parkrun here every Saturday, but the course is marked permanently so you can run it anytime.
The park is open from 7:30 - 18:00 every day with the cafe and visitor centre open from 9:00 - 16:00.
