The Florida Trail is one of eleven National Scenic Trails in the US. Its vegetation and fauna makes it unique compared to the long-distance trails in the western states. You will encounter alligators and walk through palm, oak and pine forest. It is roughly 1,100 miles long with some options for alternative routes.
