Main entrance to the garden, which is one of the city's three green lungs.

Also managed by the Ivorian Office of Parks and Reserves, this garden was created during the colonial period. First it was, from 1904 to 1905, the Garden of the residence of the Governor ANGOULVANT, a building, transformed into a half-breed boarding school in 1934 after the transfer of the capital to Abidjan, which became a boys' orphanage in 1972.

Then, a new mission was assigned to it: that of Garden of introduction and test of plants coming from various horizons from 1905, before being retained as Botanical Garden of Bingerville in 1952 with objectives turned towards the Institutions in particular the Coffee-Cocoa Research Institute (IRCC).

The characteristic entrance to the Garden is a bamboo walkway which creates superb shade.

There are several prices for visiting the Garden, from 300 CFA francs. 500 F children, 1000 F adult access, up to 5000 F for a guided tour
