Dahliafleur was originally owned by an Italian operator by the name of Italo Barbeta. Ceded by President Félix Houphouët-Boigny with the aim of developing a flower plantation there, this land bears the name of his favorite plant – the Dahlia. Died in Ivory Coast a few decades ago, he was buried in his reserve where the remains of his tomb are still visible.
