Hiking

The Schneifel Trail is a challenging long-distance hiking trail in the Eifel (approx. 72 km) from Kronenburg to Birresborn. It leads over the Schneifel ridge through forests, moors and rocky landscapes. It is recommended to divide the trail into three stages. Highlights are the Schönecken castle ruins and the Birresborn ice caves. A good level of fitness is required due to some steep climbs.
