The Kellmetschweiher is located between the two communities of Böhl-Iggelheim and Schifferstadt in a forested area in the Ludwigshafen-Rhein district.

It is a renatured gravel lake with shore areas that are now rich in vegetation.

The relatively shallow depth ensures lush underwater vegetation in which pike, zander, perch and carp feel particularly comfortable.

The water is managed by the Kellmetschweiher fishing club. Fishing time is from 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset. Guest tickets are available. You can fish with 2 rods – one for coarse fish, one for predatory fish. A maximum of 10 pounds of fish may be caught per person per day.

The lake can be reached via forest paths, which can be reached from Böhl-Iggelheim, for example via the L528. From Schifferstadt you can reach the forest paths via the L454.
