When the new parish was established (1997), land was obtained for the construction of a church at Wojska Polskiego Avenue and in the same year a temporary chapel was built where services were held. The next stage was the construction of the presbytery, which was built in 1997–1999. On November 16, 2003, services began to be held in the newly built church.

On June 3, 2015, Fr. prelate Henryk Miron - the first parish priest, builder of the church, and from 2014 also the dean of the Mońki deanery. He was buried in the churchyard next to the church.
