Paradiesgärten – Gartenparadiese Exhibition, Peterskirche Erfurt

The exhibition on the Petersberg forms the show "Paradise Gardens - Garden Paradises" in the Romanesque St. Peter's Church. Works of garden art in Thuringia from the Middle Ages to the 20th century are presented. The architecture of St. Peter's Church encloses the gardens shown in the exhibition like an enclosure. The exhibition building, with its centuries-old history, high artistic quality and cultural-historical significance, is also one of the main exhibits in the exhibition.

Special show in the monastery church of St. Peter and Paul - exhibition open again from 06.04. - 01.11.2023. The special show "Gardens of Paradise - Garden Paradises" shows the imaginative ideas of paradise that are reflected in the design of gardens as paradises on earth. Starting from the gardens of the lost St. Peter's Monastery, the exhibition sheds light on medieval garden culture and presents the development of courtly garden art in Thuringia.
