    The Tolerance Bridge is the first and only free span suspension bridge in the Middle East. The bridge, named in honor of the International Day of Tolerance, offers pedestrians a 690-foot walk and bike path over the Dubai Water Canal. The canal is a three-kilometer project stretching from Business Bay to the Arabian Gulf, passing through Safa Park and Jumeirah. The canal includes a shopping center, four hotels, 450 restaurants, luxury apartments and various green spaces that allow pedestrians complete independence from car traffic. To provide a unique experience for visitors crossing the bridge, the Tolerance Bridge required dazzling lighting that would not cause glare.
