The Dubai Fountain is a choreographed fountain set on the 12 hectare man-made Burj Khalifa Lake in the center of Downtown Dubai.

Hiking

The fountain's name was chosen following a competition organised by the developer Emaar Properties, the results of which were announced on 26 October 2008. Testing of the fountain began in February 2009 and the fountain was officially inaugurated on 8 May 2009, together with the official opening ceremony of the neighbouring Dubai Mall.
