The Great Lithuanian Road in the 18th century ran through Wojszki, and the maximum time for transporting parcels between Vilnius and Warsaw was set at seven days. The post office left Warsaw on Mondays and Wednesdays. Parcels left for Warsaw on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Every 15-45 km there were post stations that served as inns. They were led by people employed as postmasters. On the western side of the route, the postmasters were mainly Saxons, on the eastern side, Jews. The postillions, postmen of the time, were responsible for the transport and delivery of letters and parcels.
